Dr. Beth Polito
As superintendent, I am the chief executive of the school district. I work closely with our administrative team, parent leaders and Board of Trustees to guide and oversee the day to day operation of our school and district.
Prior to becoming the then Superintendent/Principal here in Woodside, I spent 18 years at Saratoga Union School District as a student teacher, Middle School English and Social Studies teacher, Dean of Student Activities, Vice Principal, Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
I have three professional credentials; a single subject credential in Social Studies, a K-5 multiple subject credential, and an administrative credential. I received my bachelors degree in Social Science from Cal Poly, SLO, my graduate degree in Education Administration from Santa Clara University and my Doctor of Education in Organization and Leadership from University of San Francisco.
I live in San Jose with my 16 year old son, husband and my daughter is a senior in college in Washington State.
My personal professional growth has focused on the areas of site and district leadership, women's leadership, Readers and Writers Workshop, Progressive Mathematics Instruction, Design Thinking, Social and Emotional Learning, Gifted and Talented Education, strategic planning and facilities development.
