Woodside School's basketball program is open to all 1st - 8th grade boys and girls. While we want our teams to be competitive, we stress sportsmanship, teamwork and enjoyment and strongly encourage your children to participate in our program. Prior experience is not required - we will provide the experience!

1st & 2nd Grade Program:
Season: January through March 2018
Boys Practice Day & Time: Monday or Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 pm with Ms. Jones in Sellman
Girls Practice Day & Time: Thursday from 3:15-4:15 pm with Ms. Jones in Sellman
Fundamental skills as well as game situations will be the focus.
3rd - 5th Grade Program: There are no standings in this division. Everyone plays. Every effort is made to create teams of equal abilities.

Important: Due to our small class sizes, it is sometimes necessary to combine grade levels in an effort to comply with league standards, and play expectations.
Middle School 6-8th Grade Program:
The Middle School seasons will run from November 27 to mid-March 2018.
6th/7th Grade Program:
6/7th Grade Boys: Tuesdays from 6:00-7:15 p.m. in the Community Gym with Coach Bartels, Coach Connolly, and Coach Mader
6/7th Grade Girls: Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in Sellman with Coach Villalta

8th Grade Program
8th Grade Boys: Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Community Gym with Coach Warford. All 8th grade boys basketball families should contact Coach Warford for additional practice times and opportunities.

Important: Students must adhere to the attendance expectations set by Woodside's After School Sports Guidelines. Additionally, students must maintain a grade-point average of 1.5 or higher, and adhere to Woodside School's behavior policy. In the event that this is not the case, school Administration will take the necessary steps to address the issue at hand.
Woodside School will be partnering with Team Esface for the upcoming season to host basketball skills clinics for Woodside & Portola Valley students (grades 3-8). Team Esface clinics feature professional trainers that are equipped to help players develop the MIND, BODY and SKILL in order to maximize growth and enjoy the growth process.
