2019 Garden Fest — Chimichurri!
Thank you to Olga and her mother for setting up the chimichurri making stations. The 5th graders cleaned and rinsed the cilantro and parsley, removed stalks, juiced the limes, added olive oil, peppers, garlic, vinegar, cumin and salt and then mixed everything together in food processors. Another group made the labels for the top of the jars. We made enough for 39 jars to sell at the 2019 Garden Fest! Lots of tasting by the kids (they loved it) and hopefully they'll make it at home. Also, thank you to Lisha for getting the ball rolling and to all the parent volunteers who made it all happen on September 26th in the garden!
