This is my 11th year teaching elementary school and my second year at Woodside. I have taught 2nd through 6th grade in Oak Grove School District (7 years) and San Mateo-Foster City School District (2 years). Teaching is my passion. I enjoy building close relationships with children to maximize learning, showing children multiple ways of solving a problem allowing for multiple intelligences, and creating a fun learning environment that motivates children to learn. I have a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on literacy across the curriculum. Building a child’s ability to communicate through the written word is valuable in all aspects of life, and I enjoy helping children reach his/her writing potential. I am a lifelong learner with the mission to instill this desire in others. I teach with the philosophy that “No one is as smart as all of us are together,” and it is all of our responsibility to be a part of the learning process. While I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters.
