After spending my elementary, middle and high school years in Los Angeles, I began to migrate north. My first stop was in Goleta, California where I attended the University of California at Santa Barbara. Upon graduating, I enrolled at San Francisco State University to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher.

With credentials in hand, I accepted a fourth grade position in Oakland. There was overwhelming need in this district for the vibrant energy of new teachers. I learned a great deal during these early years of my career, but ultimately I wanted to find a spot that felt more like home to me. Enter Woodside. . . this is where I have learned, taught, laughed, and grown personally and professionally since 1996. I have seen the community ebb and flow with the changing times and experienced several iterations of content standards and administrative leadership.

The most rewarding aspect of my career is seeing the young students whom I have taught as eight and nine year-olds become young adults before my eyes. It gives me great optimism and hope to help launch these amazing people out into the world! Being a contributor to the movers and the shakers of tomorrow is not a task I take lightly. I teach with my mind, my heart, and my soul!
