BETH HOSS is the 4th-8th grade instrumental music teacher at Woodside Elementary. She has been teaching since 2004 and has been teaching at Woodside Elementary since 2007.  At Woodside, Mrs. Hoss teaches: 4th grade recorder, 5th grade beginning band, 6th grade intermediate band, Middle School (6th-8th) elective band, 7th grade guitar, 8th grade "found" percussion, and zero period (6th-8th) jazz band. In addition to teaching music, Beth teaches the SEL/advisory classes to the middle school students. She enjoys getting to know the Woodside students through both musical and SEL experiences.

Philosophy: Mrs. Hoss believes that Music is an essential part of being human. Her primary goal in all of all of her classes is to help students grow as citizens of the world using music as a cooperative and expressive tool toward that growth. Teaching SEL classes has only strengthened her ability to connect to students in and outside of the classroom.

Outside of School: Mrs. Hoss is more than just a teacher! Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Shelby. As a family they enjoy spending time outside, often at the beach, or letting Shelby lead the way and helping them rediscover the world through the eyes of a child. She also enjoys finding live music of a variety of genres and sharing those experiences with family and friends.
