My name is Steven Frank, and in addition to being the Superintendent, I'm also the Middle School Principal at Woodside School. I am in my sixth year as the Middle School Principal. Previously, I served as the K-8 Assistant Principal for five years and the Middle School social studies teacher for seven years before moving into administration.
I was born and raised in the Napa Valley and then graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I then earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Santa Clara University. I currently live in Menlo Park and enjoy spending time with my two wonderful daughters.
There are a number of duties and responsibilities that I assume as Principal, but none is more important than interacting with the students, teachers, and parents consistently throughout the day. Visibility, relationship building, and always being aware as to what is going on in the Middle School are the most important duties that I have.
Some of my other duties that take place either throughout the year or at certain points during a school year are as follows:
Student Council Advisor
School's Master Schedule
Middle School Student Scheduling
Overnight Field Trips
Lead Staff Meetings
Help to Oversee School Site Council, the Faculty Advisory Committee, the Science Committee, the Design Committee, etc.
Middle School BBQ's and Dances
School Board Reports
High School Articulation with both the Sequoia Union High School District and private High Schools
High School Fair
1:1 Parent Meetings with 8th and 5th Grade Parents
