Substitute Teacher Rates
- Daily: $210
- Long-term sub (after 15 consecutive days): $275
- Half Day AM: $150
- Half Day PM: $100
- Preschool: $145
All applicants must complete the Certificated Application.
Steps to obtain a 30-Day Substitute Permit
- Pass the CBEST and print out the official score report
- Order official Bachelor's Degree transcripts sent to Woodside School District, attn: Cathy Stienstra
- Take 3 copies of the 41-LS fingerprint form provided by Cathy to any LiveScan office
- Complete with Cathy to be submitted to the San Mateo County Office of Education:
- SMCOE Substitute Application Form
- Create login/password on California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website
- Apply for Certificate of Clearance
- Apply for Temporary County Certificate
- Applicant pays online by credit card when the substitute permit approval email is received
- Complete the Woodside School District employment packet
- Provide driver's license, social security card and TB test
- Tina will provide an Aesop login and password to accept substitute openings online
- Email a brief introductory biography that will be distributed to staff
