Our curriculum fosters learning in all developmental areas through the blending of guided exploration and structured learning activities.
Children are free to choose from a variety of both child-initiated and teacher-directed activities. The content and direction of our curriculum is driven and defined by the children’s ideas, interests, questions and expressions.
We provide opportunities each day for children to explore sand and water, story-telling and dramatic play, participate in music and movement activities, and create with blocks, manipulatives, and art materials.
Open-ended, developmentally-appropriate activities are planned, with an emphasis on “emergent” curriculum, which arises out of the interactions between children, adults and materials.
Both our Preschool and Pre-K programs provide children with autonomy and multiple opportunities and mediums to express themselves.
In the Preschool classroom, additional emphasis is placed on emotional development - including a smooth transition and enjoyment of school and relationships.
Both classrooms prepare children for future academics by providing opportunities for literacy, numeracy development, fine motor skills, and an emphasis on the capacity to listen to others.
