CurriculumTop of Page

  • Our curriculum fosters learning in all developmental areas through the blending of guided exploration and structured learning activities.

  • Children are free to choose from a variety of both child-initiated and teacher-directed activities. The content and direction of our curriculum is driven and defined by the children’s ideas, interests, questions and expressions.

  • We provide opportunities each day for children to explore sand and water, story-telling and dramatic play, participate in music and movement activities, and create with blocks, manipulatives, and art materials.

  • Open-ended, developmentally-appropriate activities are planned, with an emphasis on “emergent” curriculum, which arises out of the interactions between children, adults and materials.

  • Both our Preschool and Pre-K programs provide children with autonomy and multiple opportunities and mediums to express themselves.

  • In the Preschool classroom, additional emphasis is placed on emotional development - including a smooth transition and enjoyment of school and relationships.

  • Both classrooms prepare children for future academics by providing opportunities for literacy, numeracy development, fine motor skills, and an emphasis on the capacity to listen to others.

Hours: 8:30am - 12:00pm - Monday- Friday only

Classroom Makeup: Children will no longer be divided by age into Preschool and Pre-k classes. Instead, bubble cohorts will be created with 12 students and 2 teachers each, across 3 classrooms. Siblings will be grouped together regardless of age. Each classroom will be supplied with materials (toys, teaching materials, disinfecting supplies and PPE) that remain with their bubble cohort.

There will be no moving of children or staff across the cohorts.

Drop-off /Pick-up Procedure: Students will be dropped off and picked up curbside only. Parents will enter the parking lot near the Tennis courts and remain in the car until a staff member arrives. Staff members will meet families at the curb, obtain parent signatures and take the students temperature. Staff members will then take the students to the classrooms. At the end of the day, staff members will walk students directly to their parent’s car with their belongings. If families need to pick-up before 12:45pm they can contact the school office and a staff member will bring the student out to the parking lot.

Drop-off time: 8:30am - 8:45am

Pick-up time: 11:45am - 12:00pm

Curbside Drop-off and Pick-up Location: Fire Lane along the back of the 1st grade classrooms
