For 4th & 5th Grade Families...

MEET THE UPPER SCHOOL PRESENTATION
Wed., Nov. 8; 2:00-3:30pm in Wildcats
RSVP HERE

All 4th and 5th grade families are invited to attend our annual Meet the Upper School event. This event will take place on Wednesday, November 8th, from 2:00-3:30pm in Wildcats. This is a great chance for you to tour our 6th-8th grade and to hear from our amazing staff about the unique programs that we offer. Woodside Upper School is a special place, and we pride ourselves on making sure that our students are prepared for high school and the world beyond. We receive overwhelming feedback each year from graduates and families about how well-prepared our students are, and how much they love their teachers and experiences here at WESD.

On November 8th, the afternoon will begin with classroom tours at 2:00pm, where you will get to see what it's like when class is in session in our 6th-8th grade rooms. After the tours, we will hold a presentation where we review the highlights of our Upper School experience, as presented by our amazing group of teachers. Students are released at 2:30 that day and are welcome to join us for the presentation, as well.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP here so that we get an idea of the headcount for tours. I can't wait to show you what makes our Upper School so special!

Shadowing at Woodside Upper School
Top of Page

All current 4th and 5th grade Woodside School students who are interested in shadowing our Upper School are welcome to do so. It is our belief that the Woodside Upper School offers a comprehensive program that rivals that of any school in the area, and we want our students to experience what we have to offer.

After 4th and 5th grade parents attend our Meet the Upper School presentation and meeting all of the Upper School teachers, students can spend a day learning what life is like in Upper School. Each 4th and 5th grade student will be assigned a Upper School buddy for the day.  They will attend all of the classes for the day and get a feel for what students do in Upper School.

We only allow shadowing to current 4th and 5th grade students and any non-Woodside School student who resides within our District boundaries.  Because of this, we set specific shadowing dates to limit the loss of instructional time. Parents can sign their students up for 4th and 5th grade shadowing either during the Meet the Upper School Presentation or in the office. Shadowing is typically held at the end of October.
