Earthquake Safety - My Shake App
October 20, 2023 — Many of you may have received multiple earthquake alerts on your cell phones this week.  There was an actual, authentic alert received through the My Shake app on Wednesday morning.  There was also a “test” alert sent out, mistakenly at 3:19 a.m. Thursday morning, when it was supposed to be sent out at 10:19 a.m. as part of the state’s annual “Great California Shakeout” earthquake drill.    

As a school, the My Shake app will be used in concert with our usual safety drills and school safety plan.  If there is an alert, whether or not activity is felt, we will conduct a normal earthquake drill where students drop, cover, and hold on.
