Jennifer R. Mitchell, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist, PS-8
Room 39B
Welcome to Woodside Elementary School! I earned my Master of Science at San Francisco State University in Communicative Disorders in 1999 and hold a Clinical Certificate of Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. In 2006, I completed the Communication Disorders Program in Severe Disabilities through Western Carolina University as a stipend recipient (U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Research). Furthermore, I completed coursework and an extensive mentorship in the field of applied behavior analysis, specifically verbal behavior methodology. In my role as a speech-language pathologist; personal beliefs, attitude, and philosophy dictate my practice. Communication is one of the most wonderful gifts possessed by humans. It enables us to share our ideas, express our needs, and foster intimate relationships with others. For these and other reasons, I have found myself continually drawn toward helping individuals with communication disorders.
