Back to School Night — Thursday, September 9th
This year, Woodside School will be hosting a virtual Back to School Night again. We look forward to joining together as a community to share more information about your child’s education here at Woodside and to answer any questions that you might have. The logistics are similar to last year, but this event will be different than a traditional Back to School Night.
PowerPoints Presentations / Preparing for Back to School Night
All families received this PowerPoint presentation equipped with video messages from the WES administration team and your child’s teacher. These videos will contain all of the information that is usually presented during the in-person BTSN sessions. We encourage all families to watch the presentations prior to our Back to School Night event, in order to learn about your child’s classes. The goal of sending this information out early is to ensure that the Q&A sessions on the 9th are filled with meaningful conversations and pertinent follow-up information regarding the grade level’s programs. Parents received the PowerPoint of virtual pre-recorded presentations and all Zoom links on Tuesday, September 7th.
Q&A Sessions
Each grade level will host a Q&A session for families on the night of September 9th, with two sessions for parents to choose from. Session one will run from 6:00-6:30 p.m. and session two will run from 6:30-7:00 p.m. Each session will be identical, consisting of introductions and time for dialogue about your child’s classes. We hope that this schedule will help to allow parents with multiple children to attend all of their teachers’ sessions. Please feel free to join sessions at your leisure, so that you can ask any questions that you may have, and so that you can hear the questions that others may have. Please look for Zoom links for each session, which will be included in the September 7th Powerpoint presentation communication.

Grade-Level Parent Socials
In addition to the two Q&A sessions for both the Lower and Upper Schools from 6:00-6:30 p.m. and 6:30-7:00 p.m., the PTA will help lead both a Lower and Upper school parent social from 5:15-6:00 p.m., before the Q&A sessions. If you can make it, please join the PTA room parents, administration, and the Woodside School Foundation for introductions, a welcome, and updates. Next week, Zoom links will be communicated to all families for both the parent socials and the grade level Q&A sessions.
