Each year students study a list of 100 high frequency sight words that first graders will learn how to read and write.

We will pretest all students in January to assess what words they already know how to spell/ what they need to learn to spell.

Students will receive individualized spelling lists every week starting at the end of January, a combination of word families and high frequency sight words.
