Expect your third grader to bring home a homework packet each Monday.  Our aim is to select assignments that can be completed independently by the majority of students.  Certainly, if you have the time and inclination, we wholeheartedly encourage your involvement!

Philosophically, we do not believe in overloading children of this age with an excess of work at home. The school day is quite rigorous, and we hope the students enjoy downtime in their afternoons and evenings.

In addition to assignments, we require students to:

  • Read for (at least) 20 minutes a night
  • Practice math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Think like a writer. . . always be on the lookout for writing ideas

Get a good night’s sleep!
