2025-26 Welcome Back Letter
Dear Lower School Families,
I’m looking forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday, August 20th for our first day of the 2025-26 school year. You’ll notice a few changes to the campus – some are temporary and others permanent. Your children will have warm and inviting classrooms and plenty of outdoor space. They will likely be curious about what’s happening, so we will try to stay informed as the construction progresses and be prepared to answer their questions.
The first day of school is a minimum day for all students. School will begin at 8:25am but end for all students at 12:30pm. On this first day, we will have an Opening School Assembly at 10:55 AM in our amphitheater. (TK students usually don’t attend this event as they are settling into their new routine!). Parents are welcome to attend.
Our entire lower school staff is returning for the 25-26 school year, and we have no new teachers joining the lower school team. Ms. Nelson is enjoying her first year of retirement and Ms. Lucas is moving from 2nd grade to 3rd grade since we are continuing with three sections for the class of 2031. There will be some new faces serving as paraprofessionals in the lower school; however we are still completing the hiring process.
Each Monday, you will receive the Wildcat Weekly and there is always a short message from the Lower School. We try to streamline communications, so I don’t tend to send many messages directly to the lower school community. You can email me if you have questions or concerns or speak with me after drop off or pick up.
Below are some important dates for getting the school year started. I will see you all soon! Enjoy the next couple of days of vacation with your child.
