Community Grant Project
With an eye towards encouraging Woodside residents to participate in philanthropy, the Woodside Community Foundation's board of Directors just announced that the Foundation will sponsor a Community Grant Project in the spring of this year. The Foundation will award three grants of $5,000 each to community benefit projects sponsored by Woodside residents at a special event entitled "Woodside Day of Giving" on May 12, 2018 at 5pm at Independence Hall.
A panel of five judges comprised of community members will be convened to score the proposals according to their feasibility and merits. Community judges will cull down the submissions to ten applications or 10% of the applications (whichever is less). The WCF Board of Directors will select the final three grantees.
Prospective participants are asked to complete a brief questionnaire/proposal through the Foundation's website describing his/her project, projected expenses, anticipated social media coverage, and expected community outcomes/benefits.
Any Woodside Resident is eligible to participate in the Grant Project. Youth, with adult sponsors, are encouraged to apply.

Application and Timeframe
The grant application form is available for submission at www.WoodsideGiving.org. The application period will close on Sunday, March 31, 2018. Judging will take place April 1 through April 30, 2018. Click HERE for more details on the Woodside Community Foundation website.
Awards
The awards will be granted at a special event entitled "Woodside Day of Giving" at 5pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Independence Hall.
