I am honored to be a part of the Woodside teachers’ team, to ignite curiosity, unravel complexities together and transform students into fearless science problem-solvers!

I have a deep commitment to student mentoring and development, as I also teach part-time as adjunct professor at the University of California San Francisco.  I love teaching all levels of science, and as a middle school teacher, I am passionate about planting the seeds for the appreciation of science and math.  My goal is to always inspire curiosity and confidence in all my students, empowering them to explore and excel in the wonders of science.

I received my Bachelor of Science Biochemistry from UC Davis and my Doctor of Pharmacy from UC San Francisco, and I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of San Francisco.

My wife Kerstin and I have two boys, Eric and Filip, who had the privilege of being taught by the amazing teachers and staff at Woodside School.  Wildcats Class of 19 and 22.  Wow, time flies.

When I’m not on campus, family activities and exploring all the beautiful places California has to offer are a priority.  Or you might find me nerding with a good science book over coffee.  I also like to swim, bike, and run, sometimes even all three together in that order.

I always encourage open dialogue and prioritize open communication with students and their families. Please contact me anytime with any questions or concerns about science class.  I look forward to a fun and engaging year of middle school science!
