For 4th & 5th Grade Families...

Wed., Nov. 17; 2:45-4pm

WESD held their annual "Meet the Upper School" event for all current 4th and 5th grade parents on Wednesday, November 17th from 2:45pm-4pm. The event was facilitated by Principal Pedersen and our incredible 5th-8th grade staff members, and consisted of a presentation on our 5th-8th grade programs, some words from our students, and time to ask questions. This was great opportunity for current 4th and 5th grade families to have a look into what their child's Upper School experience will be like here at Woodside School, and to see what a great fit our program could be for your child.

If you were unable to attend our "Meet the Upper School" event, you can view the recorded video by requesting the link and password from Principal Pedersen.

Shadowing at Woodside Upper School

2021-2022 Dates TBD
All current 4th and 5th grade Woodside School students who are interested in shadowing our Upper School are welcome to do so. It is our belief that the Woodside Upper School offers a comprehensive program that rivals that of any school in the area, and we want our students to experience what we have to offer.

After 4th and 5th grade parents attend our Meet the Upper School presentation and meeting all of the Upper School teachers, students can spend a day learning what life is like in Upper School. Each 4th and 5th grade student will be assigned a Upper School buddy for the day.  They will attend all of the classes for the day and get a feel for what students do in Upper School.

We only allow shadowing to current 4th and 5th grade students and any non-Woodside School student who resides within our District boundaries.  Because of this, we set specific shadowing dates to limit the loss of instructional time. Parents can sign their students up for 4th and 5th grade shadowing either during the Meet the Upper School Presentation or in the office. Shadowing is typically held at the end of October.
