Hello!  I am very excited to begin at Woodside Upper School for my fourth year teaching.  I am beyond thrilled to join this incredible team and community.

I currently live in La Honda, where I was born and raised.  I live with my family, our dog, and our two cats.  I attended secondary school in Half Moon Bay and graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in summer of 2018 with a B.A. in General Psychology.  After a brief period working in Silicon Valley, doing contract work in GIS and AI vehicles, I entered the credential program at San Francisco State University and worked concurrently as the teacher of record in a seventh grade math classroom at Cunha Intermediate in Half Moon Bay.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, and swimming.  I am also a crafter, and will usually have a baby blanket or some other project tucked away somewhere!

My philosophy in the classroom always aims to exist at the intersection of rigor and safety.  The work has to be challenging, and students need to truly know that they are safe enough to acknowledge they don't already have the skill at hand mastered.  My personal goal is always to know my students as people first, who are individuals with their own set of experiences, dreams, and ambitions.
