Join the Woodside Parent Advisory Committee (W-PAC)!

Are you interested in shaping the future of our school? We are looking for parent volunteers to join our Woodside Parent Advisory Committee (W-PAC) for the upcoming school year!

The W-PAC is a collaborative group of parents, teachers, administrators, and students who meet a few times a year to review school programs, share ideas, and help guide our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)—the roadmap for how our district supports every student.

Who Should Join?

We welcome parents from all grade levels (TK–8), and to ensure our committee reflects our entire school community, we are especially encouraging parents with unique perspectives in the following areas to raise their hand:
  • Parents of English Learners: Help ensure our language programs and family support services meet your children's needs.
  • Parents of Students with IEPs or 504 Plans: Share valuable insights on learning accommodations and specialized support.
  • General TK–8 Parents: Bring your everyday family perspective to our school-wide goals and campus culture!
  •

What’s the Commitment?

  • Meetings: Just 3 to 4 meetings throughout the school year (held in a comfortable, informal setting with both staff and student members).
  • Role: Share your perspective, review district goals, and provide feedback. No prior experience with school finance or committees is needed!
If you are interested in joining or simply want to learn more before signing up, please email Michelle Ahlstrom.
