K-5 Resource Specialist
To let you know a little bit about my background, I grew up in Shingle Springs which is a very small town outside of Placerville (El Dorado County). Upon graduating with a BA in Journalism and after entering into the corporate world, I knew that my passion was in teaching. That is when I decided to go back to school to get my teaching credential. Upon receiving credentials in both general and special education, along with an MA in Special Education, I began my teaching career as a science instructor at Camp Galileo. From there, I taught third grade in Oakland. I am now enjoying my fourth year as a teacher in the learning center.
I feel thankful to have the opportunity to work with students in a small setting, across all K-5 grade levels. I truly love my job and consider it my passion.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, baking, hiking, camping and exploring where I currently live, San Francisco.
