Ms. Esther Kim

I joined the wonderful, intimate Woodside community in August 2017. I moved to California with my husband and two daughters from Philadelphia in 2015. In Philadelphia, I taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 5th grade for a total of seven years. Before Woodside, I taught 4th grade at an independent school in Portola Valley. Prior to teaching, I worked as a research assistant at University of Pennsylvania and mental health therapist in Philadelphia and Mumbai, India. Schooling in the elementary years is crucial in instilling a love of learning and an insatiable sense of curiosity, and I am so honored to be a part of that journey for our fourth graders!

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, traveling, eating good food, spending time in nature, going to the beach, and reading.
