I am so excited to officially join the Woodside teaching team for the 2026–2027 school year! I love working with children and am especially passionate about connecting students with literature and helping them discover books that spark their curiosity, imagination, and love of reading. I strive to create a classroom where every student feels supported, engaged, and inspired to learn and grow.

I grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from Homestead High School. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from UC Santa Barbara and my Master of Arts in Education from Pepperdine University. I am currently pursuing my Master of Library and Information Science at San José State University, where I am continuing to explore my passion for children’s literature, literacy, and the ways books can help students better understand themselves and the world around them.

I have taught Kindergarten, second grade, and fourth grade in several school districts throughout my career. In 2013, I stepped away from teaching to focus on raising our four children, all of whom have attended Woodside Elementary. After our youngest started Kindergarten, I returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher and had the opportunity to work extensively with students and teachers at WES. After many years as a Woodside parent and member of the school community, I am thrilled to officially become part of the teaching team!

My family has called Woodside home since 2007, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of this wonderful community. Outside of school, I am mom to four children and two beagles. I am a self-proclaimed “Book Dragon” and have an extensive collection of alphabet books, along with a particular weakness for beautiful new editions with sprayed edges. I also love cooking and baking for family and friends—and I am perhaps best known around school for my cupcakes! Be sure to find me at Garden Fest and come try one.

I look forward to building meaningful relationships with my students and their families, embracing Woodside’s wonderful traditions, and sharing an exciting year of learning, discovery, and fun!
