My name is Lindsay Picone and I am very happy to join the 2nd team this year! This is my 6th year at Woodside Elementary, and my 9th year of teaching.
I spent the first three years of my career teaching first grade at St. Lucy School in the Diocese of San Jose. I joined the Woodside School community as a part-time second grade teacher and roving substitute. It was a wonderful opportunity to work in all grade levels and get to know the students across campus.
A little about me...I grew up in Los Gatos, and come from a family with six teachers. I attended University of San Diego and studied Communications and Marketing. While at USD, I studied abroad on Semester at Sea and volunteered in elementary schools overseas. This experience ultimately ignited my passion for teaching and influenced me to change career paths. I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (CLAD) from San Diego State University, and have never looked back. I love working with children, and find the teaching profession to be both honorable and truly rewarding. When not in the classroom, I love to travel, hike, and spend time with my family and friends!
