3rd Grade Teacher

Hello, Woodside families and loved ones!

I am excited to be joining the 3rd grade team at Woodside Elementary this school year. I recently moved to California after teaching 3rd grade in Oregon while completing my Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching. I earned both my bachelor's degree in Education, with a minor in Special Education, and my master's from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). I'm so grateful for the opportunity to join such a supportive school community and bring my experiences into the classroom each day!

One of my favorite parts of teaching is creating a classroom where students feel comfortable being themselves, trying new things, and taking part in the joy of learning. Throughout my teaching journey, I've had the opportunity to work with students across different grade levels and learning environments, including general education and special education classrooms. These experiences have taught me that every student learns differently, and I believe those differences should be celebrated. I love finding ways to help each child grow with confidence. I strive to create a classroom where students are kind to one another, enjoy working together, and have fun along the way!

Outside of school, you'll usually find me playing soccer, going for a run, trying a new coffee shop, or spending time with my family and friends. I'm also learning American Sign Language, which has been such a rewarding experience. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and lots of memorable moments together!
