May Day 2026 - THANK YOU!

Thank you all for coming out in record numbers and making the 104th annual May Day Festival memorable. The fog embraced us and held so we could enjoy everything out in the open, including the spectacular maypole dance by our 3rd graders.  Thank you teachers for carrying on this long tradition and teaching 3rd graders, year after year, how to do the maypole dance. The biggest of thank yous to Rachel Ream!  Her countless hours spent on managing, organizing, and coordinating May Day over these past 3 years have brought us all so many wonderful memories as a community.  Her smile, laughter and kind heart has touched us all.  A HUGE thank you to the entire May Day Committee, the PTA and all of the volunteers who spent months planning and coordinating.  All of your help made May Day the special event that it is.  Thank you to all of our community partners for their continued support.  Thank you to Jason Applebaum, Buck's and 7th Grade Families for the most delicious lunch and all of your help!   Thank you to the school for leaning into this inherited tradition, we appreciate all of your support.  Thank you to the students for participating in art contests, helping with parade safety, learning to face paint, making posters, and running carnival booths.  The carnival was delightful and the prize room was epic.
