The Walk Audit the Town of Woodside has been awarded by the SMCOE Safe Routes to School Travel Fellowship!

About the Walk Audit:

The walk audit will focus on pedestrian and bicyclist safety, comfort, and accessibility. It provides an opportunity for community members to share concerns and suggest ideas for improvement.

Facilitated by Alta Planning + Design, an active transportation firm dedicated to creating healthy communities, the walk audit will bring together school staff, parents, city representatives, and other stakeholders to evaluate existing conditions. The process will identify key safety challenges and culminate in a report outlining findings and recommended improvements.

Here is a brief agenda of the morning 4/28:

Check in at 7:45am, then meet in the school library for a brief meeting. Alta will provide an overview of the process:

- Go out and observe the morning arrival.

- Come back to the meeting room and discuss observations.

Ends by 9:45am.
