The Friends of the Woodside Library has supported Woodside Library since 1968, and to that end, we are now hoping to contribute some $20,000 a year to the library system to provide materials (books, DVDs, CDs, etc.) and to support programs - not only the amazing assortment of fun and educational children’s programs but also adult programs such as Friday Tai Chi and docent talks from San Francisco museums. Approximately half of our funding comes from the sale of books in the library and the rest from member donations.
We would truly appreciate your support and if any of the following appeals to you please don’t hesitate to let the librarians know:
DONATIONS: Donation envelopes are in the library and many very reasonably priced used books are available from the Friends’ Book Sale shelves in the library. DONATION INFO LINK HERE (checks, Venmo, PayPal).
BOOKS: We are always looking for people to help sort donations of books as they come in.
BOARD MEMBERS: We are also looking to augment our trusty 9 member board. We meet 5 times a year in the library at 9 am on the first Thursday of the month.
May you enjoy much good reading at Woodside Library. We hope you can join us!
