Lacrosse is known as The Fastest Game on Two Feet! It’s a combination of hockey, soccer and basketball, and it is SO fun to learn. The club is trying to introduce new players to the game up and down the peninsula.
Unlike other sports, competitive club lacrosse teams take a break in the spring, so Firehawks and and the league in which we play, the WBLL, are the Spring recreational option for all players of all skill levels. This is a perfect opportunity to get introduced to the game and to learn in a fun environment.
Our Firehawks Recreational Lacrosse Programs are designed for girls and boys of all skill levels to learn the game, compete as a team, and have fun.
The club teaches the game through their core values of F.I.R.E

Practices are held at Sacred Heart Prep, and games are at Sequoia High School in Redwood City.
We field teams in the West Bay Lacrosse League from 8U to 14U age group.
Our 8U and 10U teams play in a Peninsula based jamboree style league.
Our Firestarters program is a coed In-House only program designed to introduce Transitional Kindergarteners & Kindergarteners to the sport.
At every level, we group players to maximize their enjoyment of the sport and their individual progress as a player. Each team will have:
A 12 week season (6 weeks for Firestarters)
Two practices a week, run by USA-Certified Coaches and assisted by elite high school and college players
One-two games per weekend against our WBLL partners
A post-season tournament within the WBLL
