For 4th & 5th Grade Families...

MEET THE UPPER SCHOOL PRESENTATION
Wed., Dec. 10; 2:00-3:00pm

All 4th and 5th grade families are invited to attend our annual Meet the Upper School event on Wednesday, December 10th. This is an opportunity to learn about our 5th-8th grade program here at Woodside School, as you start to think about the next step of your child's educational journey. We have a new format to our program this year, where students and families will have the opportunity to meet teachers, but also to hear about the Upper School experience from a panel of current students and parents. Please RSVP HERE if you plan on attending, and see the schedule of events below. I hope to see all 4th and 5th grade families there so that we can tell you more about what makes our program so special!

2:00 p.m. - Meet at school library for classroom tours (adults only)
2:45 p.m. - Parent and student panel Q&A and teacher meet and greet in school library (adults and students welcome to join!)

Shadowing at Woodside Upper School
Top of Page

All current 4th and 5th grade Woodside School students who are interested in shadowing our Upper School are welcome to do so. It is our belief that the Woodside Upper School offers a comprehensive program that rivals that of any school in the area, and we want our students to experience what we have to offer.

After 4th and 5th grade parents attend our Meet the Upper School presentation and meeting all of the Upper School teachers, students can spend a day learning what life is like in Upper School. Each 4th and 5th grade student will be assigned a Upper School buddy for the day.  They will attend all of the classes for the day and get a feel for what students do in Upper School.

We only allow shadowing to current 4th and 5th grade students and any non-Woodside School student who resides within our District boundaries.  Because of this, we set specific shadowing dates to limit the loss of instructional time. Parents can sign their students up for 4th and 5th grade shadowing either during the Meet the Upper School Presentation or in the office. Shadowing is typically held at the end of October.
